The best goals from pre-season so far

23 July 2019

Pre-season has not been short of incredible goals so far this summer with all the biggest names showing off their skills from the get-go.

Fitness and preparation for the season ahead has been the number one priority for the biggest clubs in the world and their best players have been showing the world what they can do.

FC Bayern Munich downed Real Madrid with the shining moment coming from Robert Lewandowski.

The Polish forward was able to bring the ball down beautifully before turning and firing home.

It was the striker’s second pre-season goal after he headed home against Arsenal in Denver.

The contest between FC Bayern and Real Madrid also conjured up another fine strike as Brazilian Rodrygo netted for Los Blancos.

The new signing lashed home a free-kick late as a consolation for Madrid in a 3-1 defeat.

Tottenham overcame Juventus in a thrilling 3-2 victory in Singapore with the match being settled by a stupendous effort from Harry Kane.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuaín netted for Juventus but the show was stolen by Kane’s wonderful effort in added time.

After Juventus lost possession in the middle of the pitch, Kane spotted goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny off his line.

The England captain lashed the ball over the Polish stopper and into the net for the winning goal.

Manchester City have also been in action over the last week, beating West Ham 4-1 before losing to Wolves on penalties.

Raheem Sterling was a key performer in the victory over the Hammers scoring two goals.

The England international netted 17 times in the Premier League last season and with two goals already under his belt, he could be set for another prolific campaign.

Arsenal are currently enjoying a fine pre-season, winning every match so far including an impressive 2-1 triumph over FC Bayern.

The winner was a well-crafted effort, finished off by Eddie Nketiah late in the contest, tapping up Tyreece John-Jules’ low crossed after he’d linked up well with Calum Chambers.

Nketiah followed that winning goal up with two more goals against Fioentina in a 3-0 victory for Unai Emery’s men.
